Storm

The thunder is loud. I can't wait for the downpour. It's cleansing. I just don't want it to snow on my tulips. They deserve more than that. They shouldn't have to hide who they are. We shouldn't hide who we are. I can hear tiny drops on the roof. I must live in a house built of tin. More thunder. We shouldn't hide who we are, but it's so tempting.

Progress

You know how sometimes you takes one step forward and you then you end up taking 2 steps back? I guess it doesn't really bother me that much right now. I kinda like having to go back and decide all over again. I feel less stuck.

I wish I could just sit on my porch, drinking coffee, watching the sun come up and then do yard work, but two things are stopping me.

1. It's still cold.

2. I have to go to work.

It's late. I have to get up early. I have a sleeping husband next to me and sharp cheese crumbs all around me. I always say I shouldn't eat in bed. But if I'm trying to relax I always get in bed. I've tried the couch and it really doesn't have the same effect.

What I'm trying to say is, good night. Where ever you may be, don't worry about what everyone else says, just keep on saving stray dogs and drinking milk from the carton.

I love candles.

It's my birthday. I love celebrating with family. I only have a half day at work, which is awesome. Caleb got me some books about dogs, he knows me so well.

I wanted to show you a little candle display I put out for our birthday party. I say, 'our' because it was Caleb, mine and a friend of ours, Brent's birthday. We had a party altogether on Saturday. So I forgot to take a picture with these babies in action, but you get the idea. Have a great day!
